About Me

Hi, I’m Lesa! Artist, maker, gardener, animal lover, and someone who has never been very good at sticking to just one creative medium.

Creativity has always been a huge part of my life. I work in graphic design and create art using colored pencil, pen and ink, acrylics, watercolor, clay, and just about anything else that lets me make something with my hands. If it involves drawing, painting, designing, cutting, sculpting, building, or experimenting, I’m probably interested in it.

A lot of my work is inspired by something I care deeply about: nature and wildlife. I have a strong passion for conservation and for doing what we can to keep the world clean, healthy, and safe for the animals and plants that share it with us. I’m fascinated by the beauty and complexity of the natural world, from tiny insects and wildflowers to birds, mammals, and the ecosystems they depend on.

That connection to nature finds its way into much of my artwork. I’m drawn to animals, botanicals, natural-history imagery, vintage influences, unusual details, and subjects that encourage people to look a little closer at the world around them. I love the idea that art can be beautiful while also inspiring curiosity, appreciation, and respect for nature.

Away from the studio, my life is wonderfully full. I’m married and the mom of four daughters, and our home is also shared with two dogs, a cat, chickens, and ducks. Needless to say, there is almost always something going on around here.

When I’m not creating, you can usually find me gardening, reading, spending time with my animals, or disappearing down a genealogy rabbit hole while trying to solve the mystery of someone who lived 200 years ago. I love learning, researching, growing things, and discovering the stories behind both people and the natural world.

For me, creativity and nature have always belonged together. There is so much beauty, humor, history, and wonder in the world around us, and I want my work to celebrate it.

Lesa Palmer Art is a reflection of all of those things, creativity, curiosity, nature, history, conservation, and a lifelong love of making things.
